Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis, the employee performs financial, operational and technical analysis.  This position provides support to enterprise management by ensuring business strategies and financial goals are achieved.  The employee assists in assessing and communicating final financials and operating results to each department.  The position supports the annual operating budgeting process, capital budgeting process, purchasing process, and cost control inventory functions.  The employee participates in property financial forecasting, prepares and distributes Executive Summaries and ad hoc reports, and provides support for property labor and operational analysis.  In addition, the employee assists with the month-end close process, coordinates weekly payroll information, and provides technical support as needed to departments for company systems and data.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business or accounting. 
  • Experience of at least two to four (2-4) years with significant exposure in financial analysis in casino and/or hotel industry. 
  • Advanced degree and/or professional certification is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. 
  • Must possess ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Must possess knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, Stratton Warren and/or similar applications.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with team members. 
  • Must possess ability to write clearly and concisely and effectiely present information to upper management. 
  • Must possess ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. 
  • Must possess ability to accurately process data and other information related to operational processes, including problem solving, root cause and sound logic and reasoning.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs. 
  • Must possess ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. 
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.

  • Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise, and stress related to servicing guests in a high pressure and fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to continuously maneuver throughout the Casino areas.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds and able to bend, reach and stoop on a limited basis.

Qualifications

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Constant exposure to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to crowds, secondhand smoke, and excessive noise. Intermittent time in office consisting of environmental factors typical in an indoor, climate-controlled office environment.
