Hard Rock is seeking a Director of Paid Digital & Social Media to lead the centralized strategy and execution of paid digital, social, and SEO/SEM campaigns. Reporting to the SVP of Entertainment Marketing & Content, this high-impact role will work across all lines of business and partner with properties worldwide to maximize return on investment.

The Director will collaborate closely with Hard Rock’s media buying agency of record to orchestrate complex paid campaigns, enable precise consumer targeting, develop custom attribution models and design consumer journeys that drive lifetime value.

 

This role will also work in tandem with the Director of Social Media to align organic content engagement with paid social campaigns across Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Snap, Google, and other distribution platforms. Additionally, the Director will oversee paid SEO/SEM campaigns, partnering with internal stakeholders to optimize architecture and identify new opportunities.

 

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in digital and social media buying, a proven track record of driving measurable results and the ability to deliver creative solutions in a fast-paced environment. This person will champion innovation and keep Hard Rock at the forefront of digital, social, and search marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive a centralized vision for paid digital, SEO/SEM and social across the global enterprise, ensuring alignment with business objectives and return on investment.
  • Partner with and manage Hard Rock’s external media buying agency, ensuring best-in-class execution, attribution, optimization and reporting across all digital & social campaigns.
  • Deliver robust, transparent reporting with insights, analysis and action items mapped against KPIs and measurable business outcomes.
  • Work with key stakeholders to create a deeper understanding of our online and social audiences – and develop recommendations on how to personalize their ad experience across Hard Rock priorities.
  • Develop ongoing strategies to drive revenue directly from Hard Rock’s social channels, including paid amplification of organic content, direct-to-consumer promotions and emerging platform opportunities.
  • Lead and integrate SEO strategy with paid initiatives, ensuring seamless synergy between organic and paid traffic growth. Oversee Manager of SEO to ensure we are adapting new initiatives (social search, AI, etc.).
  • Use performance data to develop actionable recommendations, driving efficiency, precision targeting, visibility and higher-value conversions across funnels.
  • Stay ahead of industry shifts, platform innovations, privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), and emerging technologies.
  • Partner with brand, content and creative teams to ensure campaigns are not only effective but also aligned with Hard Rock’s unique voice and global brand.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in digital media buying, paid social, and performance marketing (gaming, entertainment, hospitality, lifestyle, and/or sports industry experience preferred).
  • Strong experience managing external agencies and holding them accountable to performance standards.
  • Deep understanding of SEO/SEM strategy and how it integrates with paid campaigns.
  • Advanced knowledge of digital media platforms, attribution models, tagging/tracking systems, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Collaborative leadership style with experience working across complex, global organizations.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze large datasets to maximize optimization and ROI efficiencies
  • Deep understanding and ownership of DMP, CDP, Audiences, Segment building and related customer 360.
  • Bachelors degree in marketing, digital or related discipline.
