Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive IAM Analyst to join our team. This role is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of Identity and Access Management (IAM), including provisioning, deprovisioning, and overall account lifecycle management. The ideal candidate will ensure that users have the appropriate access to systems and applications while maintaining security and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

The primary duties and responsibilities of the IAM Analyst are as follows: 

  • Lead and execute daily IAM operations, including user provisioning, modification, and deprovisioning, ensuring compliance with company policies and security standards.
  • Manage and optimize the account lifecycle processes for employees, contractors, and partners, ensuring timely onboarding and offboarding.
  • Provide advanced support for the organization's SSO and MFA environments, including complex troubleshooting and resolving user access issues across diverse applications.
  • Supervise and conduct periodic access reviews, certifications, and support audit activities.
  • Monitor user activities, access logs, and system data to identify potential anomalies or security concerns.
  • Document access management activities and maintain detailed records in the company's ticketing system to support compliance and audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (IT, Cybersecurity, HR) and external stakeholders to resolve access issues and maintain proper role-based or attribute-based access control (RBAC/ABAC).
  • Respond to, document, and lead investigations of identity-related incidents in alignment with security best practices.
  • Drive process improvements, identify automation opportunities, and lead efforts to streamline identity management workflows.
  • Mentor junior IAM analysts and provide guidance to support their professional development.

Qualifications

Experience / Education / Certifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT, Information Security, or Identity and Access Management.
  • Strong familiarity with IAM concepts and systems (e.g., Active Directory, Azure AD, SailPoint, or equivalent).
  • Advanced understanding of SSO protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect), role-based, and attribute-based access control (RBAC/ABAC).
  • Experience with ticketing systems, workflow management, and documentation for compliance and audit purposes. (e.g., ServiceNow, HaloITSM, etc)
  • Experience supporting audit and security compliance activities.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (SOX, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.) is a plus.
  • Professional certification(s) in IAM, Security+, or related areas preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience preferred for highly qualified candidates.
