Seminole Classic Casino pioneered Indian gaming when it opened as the country’s first large stakes bingo hall in 1979, eventually expanding with gaming machines and poker. Responsibilities

The Dual Rate Dealer/Floor Supervisor position is responsible for working in a dual capacity position while providing superior guest service. Duties for this position include but are not limited to:

 

  1. Table Games Dealer:
  • Greets patrons of the casino.
  • Handles buy-in and payoff transactions.
  • Deals table games while adhering to department policies and procedures.
  • Effectively communicates with managers/staff.
  • Verifies fills, credits, and chip amounts issued.
  1. Floor Supervisor:
  • Directly supervises a maximum of six tables in the Table Games Department, and oversees games in progress, along with customers and employees in assigned sections.
  • Ensures company assets are safeguarded, issues playing cards during shifts, and assists with any guest issues or questions.
  • Duties include handling guest buy-ins and payouts, tracks and rates players and enforces rules and regulations established by the property.
  • Performs additional job duties as assigned by the department manager.

One-year dealing experience preferred. Must have the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Qualifications

  • Applying for the position of Dual Rate Dealer/Floor Supervisor you agree to all bullet points above and acknowledge this is not a comprehensive list pursuant to the position of Dual Rate Dealer/Floor Supervisor.  Furthermore, all promotions to the position of Dual Rate Dealer/Floor Supervisor will use the following criteria:

      • Game Knowledge - Must deal every Table Game offered on property the first day the position of Dual Rate Dealer/Floor Supervisor is posted on the company website.  This will be defined as having completed and/or successfully passed an audition on a particular game.  The Dealer Academy will be the arbitrating authority should a dispute arise.
      • Attendance - Must be eligible to transfer, less than 7 attendance points, to be considered for the position of Dual Rate Dealer/Floor Supervisor on the first day posted to the company website.  Accounting of all points will be considered the current amount Table Games has on file per our attendance tracker.  It is incumbent for any point’s dispute to be satisfied prior to the first day the position of Dual Rate Dealer/Floor Supervisor is posted.
      • Discipline - Cannot have any active FWW on file.
      • Currently a full-time employee - Though management reserves the right to promote part-time dealers SHOULD no qualifying full-time employee apply. Management also reserves the right to hire qualified candidates for the Dual Rate Dealer/Supervisor position from either a sister property or a qualifying casino property at its discretion.  
      • Seniority - Qualified candidates that apply for the Dual Rate Dealer/Floor Supervisor position will be selected based on seniority.
      • Schedule - Must be willing to work any shift regardless of days off.

      •  Once the position is posted a Red e App message will be sent to the table games department with a link to apply at gotoworkhappy.com.
      •  Position will be posted for a maximum of 5 days internally.
      •  Table Games Management will look over the applications and sort candidates using the qualification standards listed above. 
      • Candidates who pass the Qualification Standards are offered positions based on seniority.
      • There will be no formal interview for the Dual Rate Dealer Position.

    Work Environment:

      • May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
      • Must be able to lift up to 50 pound.
      • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
      • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
      • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.

     

    Closing:

     

    The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.

     

    As part of Seminole Gaming’s employment process, final candidates will be required to obtain gaming licensure by completing a background check with Seminole Gaming Compliance and Regulations, prior to an offer being extended. These background checks may include, but are not limited to:
