Seminole Classic Casino pioneered Indian gaming when it opened as the country’s first large stakes bingo hall in 1979, eventually expanding with gaming machines and poker. The landmark casino is now home to over 1,000 state-of-the-art, newest-title slot machines and other local favorites such as Diamond Lottos, Fort Knox, Pirate’s Loot. The gaming leader also offers 24/7 live table game action with games including Blackjack, Baccarat, Spanish 21, Three Card Poker and many more. Seminole Classic Casino also features the Hollywood Hall entertainment pavilion and the Stage Bar, a full-service bar that features live entertainment nightly. Patrons can enjoy the EATstreet dining area with food options such as Soygood, Slice and Mojoe as well as a burger and wing joint named Flying Cow.

Responsibilities

The Marketing Promotions Manager is responsible for planning and implementing all of the property’s promotions, special events and activations. They work closely with the Vice President of Marketing to create a promotional calendar that maximizes revenue and profit. They also lead a team to ensure flawless execution of all events on and off property.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, produce and maintain an on-going schedule of promotions.
  • Develop theme, format and budget specifications for specific promotions.
  • Develop proformas for new promotions, analyze the results of past promotions and events and make recommendations for the feasibility of repeating or modifying those promotions.
  • Maintain inventory of promotional items pre/post events, and ensure team members are accountable for any variances.
  • Act as master of ceremonies as needed.
  • Oversee expenditures to ensure budget requirements are met.
  • Coordinate all décor requirements for promotions.
  • Communicate all events information to operating departments to ensure timely coordination of all promotions.
  • Determine staffing needs and work schedules necessary to implement promotions.
  • Works with the Advertising Manager to ensure public awareness of events.
  • Develops contacts at area attractions to keep abreast of events in the market.
  • Maintains awareness of changes in the marketplace that may impact the nature of promotions planned at the Seminole Classic Casino.
  • Establishes an effective working relationship with all operating departments.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Conducts themselves in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, and Seminole Tribe of Florida/departmental policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

 Education and/or Experience:

  • Three to five years experience in casino promotions and/or special events and a college degree in Marketing, Public Relations or related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):

  • Must possess excellent communication, organization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Effective time management skills, along with the ability to forecast time management needs of others is required.

 Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and understand all Seminole Tribe of Florida policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
  • Must be able to complete standard Seminole Tribe of Florida forms and reports.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.
  • Must be able to analyze Marketing and Promotions data.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Must be able to function and manage in non-standard situations where independent judgment is required and limited guidelines exist.

 Computer Skills:

  • Must be computer literate.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Word is required.
  • Experience is Casino Management Systems like CMP preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to continuously maneuver around the office and property, often standing for long hours.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 30 lbs and able to bend, reach and stoop on a limited basis.

Synopsis:
