Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for analysis, investigation, reporting and resolution of various types of activity including, but not limited to: money laundering, structuring, fraud, and other types of suspicious activity. The BSA/AML Compliance Analyst is expected to take appropriate actions to file required reports within specified time frames, mitigate risk, minimize loss and protect the interest and assets of the tribe. This position provides support to Casino management to ensure Casino Operations are in compliance with the Tribal Internal Controls Standards (TICS) and the Title 31 Bank Secrecy Act & Anti-Money Laundering Program as approved by Seminole Tribal Gaming Commission.

 

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Review SARs prior to filing for accuracy, completeness, and concise, well-written SAR narrative
  • Analyze account activity for the purpose of identifying and reporting Suspicious Activity.
  • Perform investigations to identify suspicious activity using information provided by multiple sources, including the review of surveillance footage
  • Create SARs as necessary and document analysis of all accounts reviewed including those cases which do not result in a SAR filing
  • Analyze various reports and data such as wire logs and currency reports for suspicious activity, transaction patterns, high risk countries, etc. and perform appropriate investigations.
  • Review customer accounts for potentially reportable suspicious activity following receipt of subpoena
  • Review and approve Customer Due Diligence reviews and Enhanced Due Diligence reviews
  • Perform customer due diligence reviews and risk rating of customer accounts when necessary
  • Document all reviews and investigations by preparing thorough and detailed notes and/or summary that reflects a professional tone and factual statements
  • Review and respond to request from participating financial institutions under USA Patriot Act, Section 314b
  • Respond to law enforcement requests for SAR documentation as permissible and ensure responses are completed and delivered within prescribed deadlines
  • Perform reviews and testing of various procedures, current systems, interfaces, and responsibilities to ensure accuracy and compliance with BSA/AML regulations
  • Identify and recommend processes, policy and procedure changes and/or enhancements to help prevent and mitigate risk
  • Assist all casino operation with BSA/AML related issues
  • Assist Compliance Officer with preparation for regulatory audits, BSA/AML risk assessment, and BSA audit
  • Provide training and communications to compliance staff including new analysts
  • Assists in assessing and communicating BSA/AML issues and/or concerns to casino operations management
  • Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business-related field. Finance or Accounting are preferred.
  • At least two (2) years of BSA/AML experience in banking or casino industry, with significant experience in performing AML investigations.
  • Advance degree and/or professional certification are preferred.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Must have a high proficiency level with computer skills to include MS Word, Excel and Access
  • SQL experience preferred
  • Must possess knowledge of casino operations, internal controls, and Bank Secrecy Act & Title 31 regulations.
  • Must possess superior communication skills including; written abilities, active listening, grammar articulacy and telephone etiquette.
  • Must possess high analytical ability and be able to work independently
  • Must possess ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Must be detail-oriented

Work Environment:

  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a professional office setting, but there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
