Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Slot Shift Manager, the incumbent assists Slot management in all phases of Slot operations. The Slot Supervisor is responsible for providing the leadership, integrity, and management of the operations on their shift. This includes currency and ticket accountability, employee development, staffing and scheduling, and the management of all procedures and process that support the Slot operations while maintaining the highest standards of player service.

 

Essential Duties:

 

  • Must adhere to the Seminole Tribe's Policies and Procedures.
  • Monitor daily jackpot and hopper fill transactions for accuracy and response time.
  • Responsible for supervising Slot attendants on assigned shift within assigned section.
  • Assists in training, counseling, scheduling and evaluating Slot attendants.
  • Handle employee and customer complaints and disputes.
  • Promotes positive customer service, safety, security and creates a friendly atmosphere.
  • Ensures that TAD attendants work with change personnel, security officers or other.
  • Seminole Classic Casino staff in regards to jackpot payouts, hopper fills and exchange slips.
  • Monitor IRS currency transaction reporting requirements.
  • Safeguard against theft and ensures the security and integrity of all casino property.
  • Report developments that may affect the casino operation to the Slot Shift Manager or Assistant.
  • Ensures compliance with all tribal and gaming regulations.
  • Coordinates and participates in Slot special event functions.
  • Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
  • Maintains a clean, safe hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or Equivalent preferred. Minimum one (1) year Slot Attendant or Slot Technician experience or one (1) year of casino experience with previous experience as a Slot Floor Supervisor in a high volume casino environment.
  • Knowledge of all casino Slot games preferred.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours.
  • Should be proficient in ability to train employees in Slot Operations. 
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills, balance cash drawer and compute discounts and percentages. 
  • Basic computer skills required. 
  • Operate hand held validation units.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to work in a smoking environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds, use an "in ear" communication device and have the dexterity to handle and service slot machine parts.

The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.

 

As part of Seminole Gaming’s employment process, final candidates will be required to obtain gaming licensure by completing a background check with Seminole Gaming Compliance and Regulations, prior to an offer being extended. These background checks may include, but are not limited to:
