Responsibilities

 

The Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood Hotel & Casino is now hiring Food & Beverage professionals for our fine dining outlet KURO!

 

 

Kuro is a luxe and socially vibrant new-style Japanese restaurant, featuring handcrafted cuisine using both locally sourced and imported ingredients. Designed with sharing in mind, the menu at Kuro offers upscale seafood and sushi, rare cuts of Japanese Wagyu Beef and creative hot dishes. Menu items boast bold and complex flavors that are both balanced and harmonious. With views of the Hard Rock Hotel pool, Kuro also showcases a curated drink menu offering expertly mixed cocktails.

 

 

 We are looking for experienced Team Members for our front of house. Positions include:

 

- Servers

- Bartenders

- Food Runners

- Host / Hostess 

- Bussers

 

Qualifications

*Bartender:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required as well as certificate in Mixology.
  • Minimum of two (2) years in high volume bartending. T.I.P.S. certification and Sanitation certification is preferred.
  • Basic mathematical skills specific to job responsibilities are required, to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities. 

*Server:

  • Minimum three (3) years of previous food service experience in a high-pace environment with food serving experience, experience in large and heavy tray handling is preferred, possess excellent interpersonal service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor, manage multiple tasks and remain calm in very high paced and stressful environment and work under pressure, ability to speak and to listen in a public forum, basic math skill is required.

*Busser:

  •  High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 months experience in high volume food service or customer service preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

*Food Runner: 

  • Minimum of one (1) year of high volume food service experience. Table service restaurant experience highly preferred.
  • Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational
  • Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional
  • Management expectation is that you must be able to work any shift including weekends and

*Host/Hostess:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 months experience in high volume food service, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

 

Work Environment:

  • May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.

Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
