JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

The Warehouse Attendant is responsible for assisting in planning, organizing, and directing the receipt, storage, and distribution of all warehouse goods and items.

 

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Receives, counts, and stores all material assigned to Warehouse
  • Marks, prices, and stocks all items in proper locations
  • Pulls and delivers requisitions from stock to the departments
  • Checks all materials received for possible damage, leakage or theft
  • Stocks shelves and rotates stock to maintain integrity of all products
  • Maintains constant check on temperatures of freezers and chill boxes
  • Takes inventory of material stored in all Warehouses and maintains inventory locations for all Warehouse items
  • Keeps all areas of Warehouse clean and free of safety hazards
  • Properly completes all Warehouse paperwork
  • Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months of warehouse experience and/or a combination of work experience and education
  • Must be able to operate pallet jacks, forklifts, reach lifts, and other equipment used in warehouse operations
  • Must have a valid Florida Driver’s license in good standing with no exemptions, suspensions, revocations, etc...
  • Must be able to follow safety rules and procedures as dictated by the warehouse managers
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, compute ratio, rate and percent
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and schedule form
  • High level of attention to detail
  • May occasionally be required to type and operate basic computer software applications

Work Environment:

  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in the back of house of the casino, which can be faced-paced with excessive noise. Also, there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
