Overview

Under the direction of the Director of Fine Dining, the Banquet Manager ensures accurate record keeping, prepares, reviews and analyzes reports.

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding guest service and ensure direct reports have the knowledge, skill and ability to provide guest service that meets standards and guest expectations
• Select, train, counsel, appraise and retain direct reports who consistently perform actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company's mission and values
• Create and communicate the structure of your area- including goals, role clarification, expectations, financial planning, etc.- that increases the value of the company and increases the engagement level of direct reports

Assist other Food and Beverage operaters in covering various outlets to on assist with managing the team

• Seek and share current and accurate information about banquet space, events and overall property offerings to encourage patronage
• Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s mission, “Unconquered Vision, Unparalleled Service, Unlimited Service,” and values of Fast, Fun, Friendly, Fresh and Focused in all we do
• Show a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service
• Ensure prompt and discrete notification to management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations
• Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Restaurant Management or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of banquet and/or catering experience
  • Must have proficient skills in Excel and Word
  • Ability to deliver a service level which creates an experience that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience
  • Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals
  • Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance

Work Environment:

  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in the back of house of the casino, which can be faced-paced with excessive noise. Also, there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
