Seminole Classic Casino pioneered Indian gaming when it opened as the country’s first large stakes bingo hall in 1979, eventually expanding with gaming machines and poker. The landmark casino is now home to over 1,000 state-of-the-art, newest-title slot machines and other local favorites such as Diamond Lottos, Fort Knox, Pirate’s Loot. The gaming leader also offers 24/7 live table game action with games including Blackjack, Baccarat, Spanish 21, Three Card Poker and many more. Seminole Classic Casino also features the Hollywood Hall entertainment pavilion and the Stage Bar, a full-service bar that features live entertainment nightly. Responsibilities

  • Conducts themselves in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, and Seminole Tribe of Florida/departmental policies and procedures.
  • Formulates theme, format and budget specifications for specific promotions.
  • Participates in monthly calendar meetings and contributes to the formulation of the promotional calendar.
  • Select, train, coach, counsel, appraise and retain direct reports who consistently perform actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication.
  • Trains employees, creates, maintains and enforces Standards of Procedure for the department.
  • Works with the Promotions Manager to ensure public awareness of events.
  • Provides counseling, discipline and rewards to the Promotions Coordinators.
  • Approves payroll, yearly reviews and monitors attendance.
  • Direct work and tasks to the Promotions Coordinators.
  • Make ‘management decisions’ in the absence of the Promotions Manager.
  • Act as a liaison between the Promotions Department and other departments throughout the casino.
  • Disseminates information about events to all impacted operating departments.
  • Responsible for the ‘daily operations’ of the department.
  • Executes promotions inside/outside the casino.
  • Provide exceptional guest service.
  • Responsible for handling guest complaints, disputes and resolving grievances.
  • Ensures that promotion/event areas are stocked with necessary supplies, decorations and secures items at conclusion of promotion/event.
  • Ensures collateral materials for promotions and events are displayed prior to and recovered at the conclusion of each project.
  • Establishes reports and systems to monitor actual expenses compared to budget and take necessary action to meet budget guidelines. Executes budgets for individual promotions, records expenditures, charts budget variances.
  • Maintains security and confidentiality of files, records and lists.
  • Coordinate or assist in coordinating all décor requirements for promotions.
  • Determine staffing needs and work schedules necessary to implement promotions.
  • Maintain awareness of changes in the marketplace that may impact the nature of promotions planned at the Seminole Classic Casino.
  • Develop department members’ knowledge and skills through education, training, coaching, corrective counseling, etc.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience. College degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Public Relations preferred. Strong guest relations experience of at least two years required. Three years relevant experience in casino environment, promotions, productions, public speaking, or public relations strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of MS Office and Excel required.

 

Work Environment:

  • May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and open crowded and noisy.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and
  • responsibilities.
  • Must be able and willing to work a variety of schedules, as position requires incumbent to work long hours, to include evenings, weekends and holidays.
