Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Accounts Payable Manager, the incumbent assist in ensuring that all vendor bills are processed in accordance with company policy.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assemble and review vendor invoices, purchase orders, receiving documents and other information for payment processing.
  • Input vendor invoices into the system.
  • Organize and maintain all files.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments.
  • Assist the supervisor with month-end responsibilities.
  • Ensure vendor compliance in accordance with Seminole Gaming procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Gaming departmental policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discretely notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
  • Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company's Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Must possess basic mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED. 
  •  One (1) to three (3) years experience with Accounts Payable or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic Microsoft Office and data entry skills required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the clerk is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk and hear in an office environment.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The working conditions found are those typically found in indoor, climate controlled office environment.

May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.

 

Employment Preference:

The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans.

First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements.

Second preference is given to other members of federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
