Responsibilities

Job Description:

 

The Bike Patrol Security Officer promotes a positive attitude and proper customer relations by extending courteous service to all patrons and employees. Observes and obeys all street, lot and garage traffic regulations. Drives company vehicles in designated routes only. Directs vehicular traffic in self parking garage, employee parking areas, surface parking lots and throughout the property. Ensures safety and security of vehicles in lots and garages by reporting all suspicious behavior to a Security Supervisor whether these acts were from an employee or a patron. Always keeps alert for unauthorized attempts to remove vehicles. Promotes an outgoing, friendly customer oriented personality at all times. Provides basic security coverage ensuring that adequate protection is provided for the safety and assets of patrons, employees and the company. Ensures that proper security is provided for all transfers of monies within the casino and hotel areas of the complex. Responds to incidents, accidents and calls for assistance. Must provide emergency medical care to the highest degree necessary within allowable limits for the certification held.

 

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Conducts themselves in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, and company/departmental policies and procedures.
  • Patrols the hotel and casino areas to establish a security presence and reports all unusual situations and/or suspicious activity.
  • Additional patrolling duties include of the bike officer include riding their assigned bike or company vehicle into all garages including the top floors of each as well as being vigilant, observant and engaging guests through verbal conversation to ensure guests are aware of their presence.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time, able to climb steps, respond to emergency situations and handle basic duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Must be able to gather accurate information and complete written statements regarding personal observations
  • At times may have to control the traffic flow throughout the facility.
  • Must be able to give accurate and detailed directions to a patron’s destination.
  • Must be able to answer questions regarding hotel services, shows, facilities and directions.
  • Reports all complaints to a Security Supervisor immediately.
  • Completes thorough documentation of all calls.
  • Completes all required checklists for inventory and inspections of supplies and equipment. Notifies a Supervisor of any problems with equipment and/or supplies and makes note of supplies that require replenishing. Replaces supplies as necessary and reports missing supplies to a Supervisor.
  • The shift for this position is overnight.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent is required and a minimum of one (1) year of guest service experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, and fast paced situations.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, ride a bike for long periods of time, able to climb steps, respond to emergency situations and handle basic duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty pounds.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities

 

Native American Preference Policy:

The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.

Seminole Gaming’s employment process requires candidates to obtain gaming licensure by successfully completing a background check with Seminole Gaming Compliance and Regulations, prior to beginning employment. These background checks may include, but are not limited to:
