Summary

Under the supervision of the Hotel Manager, the Front Desk Supervisor oversees the operations of the Front Desk while supervising Hotel and Bell Concierges.  The professional in this position ensures quality products and services are delivered to exceed guest expectations resulting in an overall quality experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Hotel Manager in all Office tasks and responsibilities
  • Work closely with Housekeeping to ensure efficient turnover of guest rooms
  • Lead by example, ensuring that staff provides guests with prompt, courteous service
  • Ensure requests for special services are carried out according to department standards
  • Run required daily reports as instructed
  • Select, train, coach, counsel, appraise and retain direct reports who consistently perform actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s mission and values
  • Create with the Hotel Manager and communicate the structure of your area – including goals, role clarification, expectations, financial planning, etc. – that increases the value of the company and increases the engagement level of direct reports
  • Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s mission, “Unconquered Vision, Unparalleled Service, Unlimited Future,” and values of Amplified Service in all we do
  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures
  • Ensure prompt and discrete notification to management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations
  • Show a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by  discretely notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations
  • Perform other job related duties as requested by Hotel Manager

Qualifications

  • (2) years of supervisory experience
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Moderate to advanced Microsoft Office skill including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Exemplary leadership skills
  • Preference will be given to candidates with college education.  

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a front desk setting, which can be fast-paced. You may be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
  • Must be able to work standing/walking for long periods of time
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

 

 The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.

 

As part of Seminole Gaming’s employment process, final candidates will be required to obtain gaming licensure by completing a background check with Seminole Gaming Compliance and Regulations, prior to an offer being extended. These background checks may include, but are not limited to:
