    Seminole Hard Rock Support Services provides Information Technology Services for Seminole Gaming and Hard Rock International and their subsidiaries and/or franchisees globally. 

     

    Reporting directly to the President of Seminole Hard Rock Support Services, the SVP of IT/CIO will provide strategic direction, leadership and support for the Company’s information technology department. This individual will promote information technology solutions throughout our properties globally and will interact and build productive business relationships with the senior levels of management throughout our organization. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is required.

     

    The SVP of IT/CIO’s role is to plan, coordinate, direct, design, and implement all gaming and customer support activities of the IT department including mission-critical systems. This position will also be responsible for coordinating, providing direction, and support for property IT functions. This individual will collaborate heavily with the executive management team, property IT, and key decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions.

     

    Additionally, this position’s primary goals are to develop and manage application portfolios and to attain IT service level agreements for the user community within the organization. This role also helps to provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives across all areas of the organization.

    Responsibilities

    Strategy & Planning:

    • Serves as the strategic business partner in the development and implementation of technology solutions that enable the organizations goals and strategies.
    • Accountable for the delivery of technology solutions ensuring the delivery of quality, cost-effective solutions to our business and properties.
    • Provide innovation and creativity in a manner which assists business partners with technology solutions.
    • Participate in strategic and operational governance processes of the business organization as a member of the IT senior management team.
    • Lead IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization.
    • Establish departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures.
    • Ensure IT system operation adheres to applicable laws and regulations.
    • Participate in the development and evolution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
    • Deployment and Implementation of Solutions
    • Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house development.
    • Develop, track, and control the information technology annual operating and capital budgets.
    • Review hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and pursue master agreements to capitalize on economies of scale.
    • Assess and make recommendations on the improvement or re-engineering of the IT organization.
    • Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices. Advise, counsel, and educate executives and management on their competitive or financial impact.
    • Promote and oversee strategic relationships between internal IT resources and external entities, including government, vendors, and partner organizations.
    • Leads recruitment, development, retention, and organization of all IT staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies.

     

    Operational Management:

    • Act as an advocate for the organization’s IT vision via regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, department heads, and end users.
    • Assess and communicate risks associated with IT investments.
    • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
    • Coordinate and facilitate consultation with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
    • Ensure continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of IT systems performance.
    • Define and communicate corporate plans, policies, and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating IT systems.
    • Approve, prioritize, and control projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems.
    • Deliver projects and programs on-time, on-budget, and on-target (with requisite business functionality).

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or business administration required. Master’s degree in either of these fields with technology as a core component preferred.
    • 12-15+ years’ experience as an IT Executive; experience with international IT Operations preferred.  
    • Experience working in the gaming/casino industry.
    • Experience in strategic planning and execution.
    • Considerable knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations.
