  • Overview

    Seminole Hard Rock Support Services provides Information Technology Services for Seminole Gaming and Hard Rock International and their subsidiaries and/or franchisees.  The IT Project Manager is responsible for successful management of information technology projects and standards on how projects are to be managed by the IT department. Furthermore, the IT Project Manager will work with IT teams and business units to effectively develop, scope and budget projects performed. The IT Project Manager will also work with internal and external resources to develop project plans and communicate status of projects to stakeholders being performed within the IT group.

    Responsibilities

    Essestial Functions:

     

    • Track and report on Information Technology department’s project portfolio.
    • Develop and work with teams to ensure they adhere to project management standards when implementing solutions.
    • Creates guidelines on how to accurately gather functional and technical requirements for projects and tasks from users and customers.
    • Prepares functional and technical requirements for projects.
    • Gather functional and technical requirements using standard project management/business analysis methodologies including but not limited to interviews, document analysis, requirement workshops, use cases, workflow analysis, etc.
    • Evaluate information gathered and prepare possible solutions to be presented to business units.
    • Establishes and maintains a strong working relationship with senior leadership and functional managers throughout business areas.
    • Utilize logic and business acumen to offer options and solutions that will address both technical and functional needs.
    • Creates and maintains project plans for key projects.
    • Work with project sponsor and stakeholders to complete project charters which outline scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget and timing.
    • Track and report on scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget, and timing.
    • Communicate with end user, project team and project sponsors/stake holders of project status.
    • Prepares and compiles project requirements, implementation timelines and budgets.
    • Communicate with appropriate internal and external resources to insure project success.
    • Communicate project milestones and successes.
    • Ensure proper development of staff with regard to individual career goals and business requirements.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM:

    • University degree in Computer Science or Business Administration required; OR, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
    • 5+ years of experience managing Information Technology projects.
    • Hospitality work experience a plus.
    • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong mentoring skills for teamwork and interdepartmental communications.
    • Complete multiple tasks with minimal assistance from others.
    • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
    • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and/or tasks simultaneously.
    • Proven ability to effectively demonstrate when there are weaknesses in project requests and/or implementations.
    • Ability to elicit cooperation from senior management and other functional managers.
    • Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive/confidential information and to handle such information as required by Corporate, Federal, and State regulations/policies.
    • Ability to capture thoughts and transform them into appropriate documents, whether it be vision statements, flow diagrams, and/or project charters.
    • Ability to create project budgets and timelines in support of project charters.
    • Perform as SCRUM Master as part of development team.
    • Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities.
