    Under the direction of the Banquet Manager this Team Member’s duties include serving VIP guests, ensuring a positive guest experience, while maintaining the extraordinary service standards of Seminole Casino Coconut Creek.  Interact and service VIP guests in a cordial and gracious manner, thereby creating a friendly, relaxed atmosphere utilizing the guest’s name when possible to build rapport and create a memorable experience building guest loyalty.  The ability to handle extra duties as assigned by management to ensure VIP guests receives a superior level of service.


    Essential Job Functions:

    • Treat Guests with a sense of caring and individuality while effectively identifying their specific needs
    • Inform Supervisor of Guest needs which may require special accommodations
    • Show special recognition of frequent Guests
    • Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for Guests at all times
    • Consistently welcome Guests, thank them for their patronage, seek ways to make them comfortable and express the desire to have them return
    • Present a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance at all times
    • Maintain constant awareness of services, promotions, and events offered at the facility and inform Guests
    • Create and ensure a fun-filled, entertaining and exciting environment with the five F’s - Fast, Fun, Friendly, Fresh and Focused
    • Handle Team Member and Guest concerns/dissatisfaction and disputes timely and professionally to the Team Member/Guest satisfaction, while maintaining financial responsibility
    • Promote positive public relations and create an enjoyable atmosphere for all
    • Inspect and ensure a clean, safe working environment.  Notify appropriate departments to handle deficient situations
    • Maintain a professional and positive relationship with Guests, co-workers and vendors
    • Create a work environment that is safe, professional, friendly and conducive to a high level of morale, productivity and performance
    • Maintain confidentiality of all Seminole Gaming’s trade secrets and proprietary information including business processes, customer lists, marketing plans and all other confidential information
    • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures
    • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discretely notifying appropriate management of concerns
    • Ensure prompt and discrete notification to management and/or the Ethics Hotline (954-585-5103) of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations
    • Demonstrate a personal commitment to ensuring responsible alcohol service through careful observation of alcohol service and through policies, procedures, regular communications and on-going training to all team members on responsible alcohol service and compliance
    • Interact and service VIP guest in a cordial and gracious manner while being able to present an upscale professional experience and image
    • Greet Guests and continually monitor Guest(s) to ensure their needs are met
    • Provide prompt and attentive service during functions
    • Maintain the quality service standards of the Banquet Department
    • Wear appropriate uniform and maintain personal cleanliness
    • Set up banquet meal functions as prescribed by the Banquet Function sheet
    • Ensures Guest safety is of paramount consideration in the set-up of the room and in the arrangement and performance of all banquet food service
    • Performs tableside or buffet food preparation and service as required
    • Ensures the banquet work station is clean, orderly and stocked with all items needed for the banquet function at all times
    • Informs supervisor of any problems and/or Guest complaints
    • Assist other banquet associates when needed
    • Cleans off all glasses, silver, china, etc. from all dinner tables, reception tables and buffet tables during and after event
    • Complete all Banquet Server side work
    • When appropriate, serves all alcoholic beverages knowledgeably and in strict compliance with all applicable alcoholic beverage laws


    • Minimum of one (1) year related experience with beverage and food item knowledge preferred. 
    • Possess a professional appearance and demeanor with an outgoing and friendly personality. 
    • Must demonstrate extraordinary customer service skills with effective listening skills. 
    • Must be able to communicate effectively with Guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities. 
    • Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to four (4) hours in length. 
    • Must have a good sense of balance, be able to bend, reach and kneel, and have the ability to lift and carry trays and bus pans frequently weighing up to 25 pounds. 
    • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.
    • Basic mathematical skills specific to job responsibilities are required, to include the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, specific to position responsibilities.
    • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of one (1) year server experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
    • Ability to continuously maneuver around the banquet facility and property, often standing for long hours, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hand and arms; and talk or hear.
    • Ability to respond to visual and aural cues, specific vision ability required by this job includes close distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception.
    • Ability to stand and walk carrying trays and bus pans frequently weighing up to 25 pounds.

    Work Environment:

    • May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public. 




    The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans.
