Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Under the direction of the Manager of Financial Accounting, the team member performs financial, operational, and technical analysis for all gaming and non-gaming business.  This position supports enterprise management in ensuring business strategies and financial goals are achieved by analyzing, interpreting and reporting critical financial information and providing recommendations with a continued focus on business process enhancement.  The team member assists in assessing financial and operating results, and effectively communicates this information to property personnel, managers, executive leadership, and external stakeholders as needed.  The position supports the annual operating budgeting process, capital budgeting process, and financial forecasting efforts.  The team member creates, prepares, and distributes property financial reporting including executive summaries, financial statements, periodic financial summaries, and ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed. In addition, the team member participates in and supports the accounting process in coordination with the General Ledger and Revenue Audit teams, processes weekly payroll information, performs property labor analysis, and provides technical and instructional support as needed for company financial systems and data.

  • Present a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance at all times
  • Maintain constant awareness of services, promotions, and events offered at the facility and inform Guests
  • Handle Team Member and Guest concerns/dissatisfaction and disputes timely and professionally to the Team Member/Guest satisfaction, while maintaining financial responsibility
  • Promote positive public relations and create an enjoyable atmosphere for all
  • Inspect and ensure a clean, safe working environment, notify appropriate departments to handle deficient situations
  • Maintain a professional and positive relationship with vendors, Guests and co-workers
  • Create a work environment that is safe, professional, friendly and conducive to a high level of morale, productivity and performance
  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discretely notifying appropriate management of concerns
  • Ensure prompt and discrete notification to management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in the area of finance, business or accounting. 
  • Experience of at least two to four (2-4) years with significant exposure in financial analysis in casino and/or hotel industry. 
  • Advanced degree and/or professional certification is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. 
  • Must possess ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with team members, managers, executive leadership, and all relevant external stakeholders. 
  • Must possess ability to write clearly and concisely and effectively present information to top management. 
  • Must possess ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. 
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages and to create and interpret charts and graphs. 
  • Must possess ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. 
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
