    Responsibilities

    This position is responsible for assisting the Slots Operations Division with service and repair support, minimizing downtime and maximizing guest satisfaction. Under the direction of the Slot Technician Manager, applies electrical theory and related knowledge to test, repair and maintain the Slot machines and related gaming equipment.

    • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures
    • Ensure prompt and discrete notification to management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations
    • Show a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by  discretely notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations

    Qualifications

    • Minimum one or two year experience and/or training as electronics technician responsible for maintenance and repair; or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
    • Knowledge of technical detail of all Slot machines.
    • Ability to diagnose and repair Slot machines.
    • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical manuals, and related documents such as electrical schematics and understand the functionality of electrical components.
    • Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.
    • Technically proficient in the assembly and operation of Slot machines. Proficient understanding of hardware to meet machine software requirements.
    • May be required to pass a written exam specific to the position.
      While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; frequently lift up to 50 pounds, speak and listen. Also required are frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, climbing steps and sitting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color and peripheral vision.
       
    • WORK ENVIRONMENT:
      The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
    • Exposure to gaming related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise, high volume guest/employee contact in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment.

    The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans.
