Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, located minutes from Fort Lauderdale's world-famous beach, features a AAA Four Diamond resort with 469 luxury rooms and suites, over 100 tables, 2000 slot machines, award-winning restaurants, high-energy nightlife, a lagoon-style pool and Beach Club, a Hard Rock-inspired spa, and premium meeting and convention space. The property is currently undergoing a $1.5 million expansion. When the development is complete in mid-2019, Seminole Hard Rock will be home to an iconic guitar hotel tower that will include a Hard Rock Casino, nearly doubling its current size with 3,267 slot machines, 178 table games plus a new 18,000-square-foot poker room. The existing Hard Rock Live arena will be razed in March 2018, and replaced with a state-of-the-art 7,000-seat Hard Rock Live venue in a theater-style configuration. Under the direction of the Revenue Verification Supervisor and Manager, duties include but not limited to:


Essential Job Functions: 

  • Tasked with the responsibility of completing the daily audit/reconciliation of Slot activity. This will include producing analysis on the daily/monthly and yearly performance of each gaming machine.
  • Must be able to create detailed analytical reports of Slot hold and performance based on both actual and theoretical data.
  • Required to Identify, track and communicate conversions, installs and errors of all gaming machines to both Finance and Slot departments.
  • Must be able to identify patterns of invalid data quickly and efficiently and make accurate, precise and quick decisions regarding the adjustment of metered data throughout the audit.
  • Responsible for insuring all drop data and revenue reported through the Slot system is accurate each day, as required by the Tribal Internal Control Standards.
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
  • Report accumulated information on periodic financial statement and statistical reports in the required format.
  • Assists supervisors in the performance of a high level review of the casino audits, jackpots, unclaimed jackpots, W2Gs, 1099s, 1042s, and Ticket Vouchers, and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement and provides daily control log to Revenue Audit Supervisor/Manager of completed audits and any significant variances necessitating investigation. 
  • Assists supervisor/manager with investigations and works closely with department heads and compliance management.
  • Recommends modifications and updates to current accounting procedures that will enhance and support the daily audit procedures of casino accounting operations. 
  • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Devises and implements system for general accounting and audit preparation of worksheets to include analyzing audit spreadsheet enhancement to more effectively reflect the daily operations of the Cage, Slot, and Table Game activity for purposes of reporting casino revenue.
  • Assists Supervisor/Manager in the annual preparation and filing for W2Gs, 1099s, and 1042s.
  • Works with the uniform chart of accounts using the guidelines of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Maintain knowledge of the STOF Gaming regulations as well as Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
  • Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication.
  • Ensure prompt and discreet notification to management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field and two (2) years experience in an accounting and analytical role required or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Casino accounting experience strongly preferred. The Revenue Audit Accountant is an entry level accounting position requiring weekends and holidays.

  • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public. 
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
