In addition to its two Seminole Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos, the Seminole Tribe owns and operates the five Seminole Casinos in Coconut Creek and Hollywood, on the Southeast coast in Immokalee near Naples, on the Brighton Reservation north of Lake Okeechobee, and on the Big Cypress Reservation south of Lake Okeechobee.


The Seminole Tribe has long been recognized for innovation in its gaming and other businesses. It opened the first high-stakes bingo hall and casino in the United States in 1979. That facility was the forerunner of the Indian Gaming movement throughout North America.


Analysts believe today’s Seminole Tribe operates one of the most profitable gaming enterprises in the world. In March 2007, the Seminole Tribe of Florida acquired Hard Rock International, the first transaction of its kind by an Indian tribe. Hard Rock International is one of the most globally recognized music, entertainment, leisure and dining brands. It includes the world’s largest collection of authentic music memorabilia. The deal also includes licensing or franchise agreements for additional restaurants, hotels and Hard Rock Live performance venues.


The Senior HRIS Analyst will be responsible for providing expert functional and technical support to the organization in the use of our HR systems. Partnering with the Seminole Gaming and Hard Rock International HR teams to optimize HR application configurations and drive adoption of global best practices and standards. Responsible for providing first and second tier support for Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) applications and serve as a technical point-of-contact and subject matter expert ensuring the trustworthiness of information over its life cycle, testing of system changes, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. This role will perform analysis into root cause of problems, develop and implement efficient solutions and ensure proper governance is implemented to prevent reoccurrence. Act as a liaison between HR, IT, Finance, and other internal functions regarding HR process improvement projects and building/updating system interfaces to work seamlessly. Foster productive working relationships with internal and external business partners while providing first-class service and support.

Project and On Going Maintenance

  • Serving as a subject matter expert and key resource of HR Systems projects including validation of Infinium/Lawson system upgrades, deployment of new functionality, partnering with HR functional areas on system related process work, and major system implementation or integration project work.
  • Identify efficiencies through automation in the areas of business processes, integrations, and data loads.
  • Be cross-trained on other HR systems to provide backup administration duties as needed
  • Lead small to medium projects by driving activities such as business requirements gathering, business process mapping and analysis, developing and maintaining process documentation.
  • Development of testing test scripts, documentation of testing issues and issue resolution.
  • Partner with other team members to review training and change management needs with all projects. 
  • Facilitate system training and communication as needed.Work effectively with business users, IT developers and external vendors to translate business needs into detailed requirements



Reporting and Analytics

  • Provide high level of analytical support on ad hoc projects or requests.
  • Enhance metrics and dashboard build and usage.
  • Review quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, propose solutions, and take action to ensure integrity in systems data and processes.
  • Develop standard and custom reports, surveys, and meet reporting requirements   
  • Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools.
  • Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
  • Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Experience in creating moderate to complex HRIS reports



Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with project management.

  • Minimum 5 yrs. of experience or 3yrs of experience and a Degree in Business, Information Systems, or related area.

  • Prior experience working with HR systems preferred (ATS, LMS, Core HR, Time & Labor, Absence Mgt. and Benefits Administration)

  • Must be experienced user of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint; In Excel, must have ability to create pivot tables, vlookups).

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in HRIS, preferably in Infinium or Lawson

  • Professional certification such as CPP, CEBS, PHR is preferred

  • Experience with Lean Sigma or Six Sigma.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills; with strong data analysis acumen and focus on accuracy and attention to detail with project management methodologies

  • Strong understanding of HR, Payroll, Finance and IT business processes as well as intra and inter-departmental functions and interdependencies

  • Proven ability to influence and partner with stakeholders across departments

  • Customer service oriented with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations and the ability to serve multiple customers and deliver an excellent experience.

  • Ability to manage change effectively, always mindful of technology, business processes, and systems implications

  • Proven Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.  Strong communication skills - written, verbal, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of a global organization.
  • Self-motivated, ability to work under pressure while delivering high quality results




The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans.
